Thank you for your interest in the Prince William Medical Center's Auxiliary College Volunteer Program. All applicants must be between age 18 and age 22 or up to age 25 if enrolled in undergraduate college program. The summer college volunteer program provides an opportunity to serve between six and eight weeks.
Returning Summer Students
If you are a returning student, you must re-apply by April 18, 2013. You will be required to attend mandatory skills-training on May 24, 2012 from 9:00am to noon. You must also update your PPD Test.

New Summer Students
New students must attend an information meeting for details and to receive an application. New students will need to begin work by June 17, 2013. Below is a list of important details about our college program to take into consideration:
- Attend a mandatory information meeting on May 6, 2013, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, May 7, 2013, from 10:00am to noon, or May 20 at 2 to 4 p.m.
- Attend orientation on May 29, 2013, from 9:00am to noon
- Provide proof of vaccinations for MMR and Varicella
- You must take a 2-step PPD test (TB)
- You must serve a minimum of three hours per week
- Provide two personal references
- Submit to a background check
- There is a $25 fee for your uniform
- All applications and requirements must be completed before your first service day.

All college volunteers will be given a yearly update sheet on or about August 1. This will cover program changes, reminders of mandatory compliance issues, and their status updates. This is to be completed by September 1.
There is a new Auxiliary Scholarship for college volunteers for those who have completed at least one full summer program (eight weeks).
