FITNESS CLASSES

Guidelines
  • Call the Fitness Center at (703) 369-8605 for class dates and times.
  • One complimentary class is given to all prospective members.
  • A workout punch card is available to non-members for classes: 5 punches for $30 or 11 punches for $60.
  • Instructors will offer modifications to meet your needs.
  • For safety, arrive in time to warm up and stay to cool down in all classes.
  • Proper exercise footwear is necessary.
  • Instructors for each class are subject to change.
  • Based on participation, management will review the group exercise schedule and make necessary adjustments.

    Body Works
    A 60-minute class structured to increase muscular strength, range of motion, flexibility and stability. Participants implement resistance tools (exer-tubes and hand weights) to increase muscular strength, endurance and function.

    Yoga
    Appropriate for those who want to progress their basic yoga skills by refining poses and exploring more standing, seated and balancing poses. This class will help increase body awareness and sensitivity.

    Aqua Fit
    Water aerobics and muscle conditioning to increase your aerobic capacity, muscle strength and active range of motion, while decreasing the impact. All levels of fitness are welcome. (This class is offered at the Freedom Center.)

    Gentle Yoga
    Learn basic yoga while improving flexibility. This 75-minute class is perfect for beginners or for individuals with physical limitations.

    Cardio Combo
    This 45-minute cardiovascular class is guaranted to make you sweat. Classes may include step, slide, high/low impact, boxing and interval training. Abdominal training is also included.

    Core Moves
    This 60-minute class combines aerobic activity with muscle conditioning to improve your core strength. This course will challenge the beginner and intermediate participant.

    Multilevel Yoga
    Appropriate for all levels of fitness, this class is ideal for individuals who want to progress at their own pace and expand their repertoire of yoga poses. Starting with basic yoga fundamentals, additional refinement is added to poses to challenge the advanced practitioners. Class includes poses, breathing and meditation. The Fitness Center offers three multilevel classes ranging from 60 to 90 minutes.

    Smart Moves
    This 60-minute class combines low intensity moves with muscle conditioning and balance exercises specifically designed for seniors and beginners.
