This group provides a supportive atmosphere, information on community resources and community speakers who address positive coping behaviors. Breast Cancer Support Group

Diabetes Mini-Seminars - New in 2010!
Each month, join us for sharing and learning about living healthy and happy with diabetes. Mini-seminars occur every third Thursday of most months from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A guest speaker will often present information, and there will also be time for sharing and socializing. These mini-seminars are free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but advised. Call (703) 369-8405 to register.

Look Good Feel Better
Trained cosmetologists teach beauty techniques to women cancer patients to help them cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment. Women learn how to deal with skin changes and hair loss using cosmetics and skin care products donated by the cosmetic industry. They also learn how to choose and care for wigs and how to disguise hair loss with scarves and other accessories. The program is free, but registration is required. I Can Cope
The Cancer Center at Lake Manassas will be offering a workshop series called I Can Cope. Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society, I Can Cope is a free, educational, peer-support session designed to empower patients so they may cope more effectively with the challenges of living with cancer.

Each I Can Cope session will be facilitated by a medical professional and will highlight a different topic relevant to the cancer experience. Each session will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 11 a.m.

All sessions will be held in the conference room at The Cancer Center which is located at 7901 Lake Manassas Drive, Gainesville, Virginia 20155.
