Inpatient Care
Prince William Hospital is an acute care hospital fully accredited by the Joint Commission. Licensed for 170 beds, we continually update our services to keep pace with medical advances and our community's growing needs so residents can stay close to home for all their healthcare services.
Behavioral Medicine: The 32-bed Center for Psychiatric and Addiction Treatment provides a full continuum of care. Services include: crisis intervention, inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
Critical Care: This 11-bed unit provides a wide variety of care for patients who need intensive nursing care for cardiac, respiratory, neurological or multi-system diseases.
Medical/Surgical Unit: This 32-bed general medical/surgical unit is comprised of a dedicated staff of RNs, LPNs, technical assistants and nursing assistants who care for a wide variety of patients.
Obstetrics: The new Hylton Family Birthing Center features an eight-bed labor and delivery unit that offers complete birthing services. Our postpartum unit features 32 all-private rooms where the staff cares for new mothers and their babies following delivery. The facility also features two well-baby nurseries and a state-of-the art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that cares for the critically ill newborn and the immediate care problems of both term and premature infants.
Oncology: This unit features six private rooms, providing the highest quality of care for cancer inpatients and chemotherapy outpatients. The focus is to help patients gain control of their disease through different modes of treatment while maintaining dignity and quality of life.
Pediatrics: This 6-bed unit meets the needs of the community by offering family-centered care for the young patient.
Progressive Care: This 26-bed telemetry unit cares for a wide variety of patients, including those with cardiac, respiratory, neurological or multi-system diseases.
