Michael J. Schwartz, President/CEO, Prince William Health System
Michael J. Schwartz is President/CEO of Prince William Health System. He has spent more than 25 years in the healthcare field, joining the Health System after serving as President/CEO of Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Illinois. His prior professional experience includes positions as Executive Director and COO of the Jersey Shore Medical Center in New Jersey; President/CEO of Alexian Brothers Hospital in New Jersey; and President of the Rome City Hospital in New York. Mr. Schwartz is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. He is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. He earned his master's in hospital administration and a law degree from Duke University. He is active in numerous organizations, including Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and the Prince William-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, and he has been active in fundraising efforts for organizations such as United Way, the American Heart Association and the March of Dimes. Mr. Schwartz and his wife Phyllis have two grown children, Sue and David.

Mike Dailey, Chairman
Mike Dailey of Gainesville is a leader in many aspects of life in western Prince William County. In addition to his service on the Board of Trustees of Prince William Health System, he has served as chairman of the Economic Development Committee of the I-66 Partnership, as a coach in the Gainesville District Youth Basketball League, and as vice-chairman of the Rocky Run Homeowner's Association. Mr. Dailey is Vice President for Business Development for Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative. He is also the president of two of its affiliate companies: NOVEC Energy Solutions and NOVEC Solutions, which he helped to establish. He and his wife Patricia have two children.

Richard A. Belden, Vice Chairman
Richard A. Belden is Chief Operating Officer for the Universal Service Administration Company located in Washington DC. Prior to this, Richard was General Manager of Micron Technology Virginia in Manassas and President and Chief Operating Officer of Dominion Semiconductor. Before moving to Northern Virginia, he worked for IBM as Manager, Investment Analysis, in New York and as Controller Software Solutions Division in North Carolina. Belden received his bachelor of science in industrial engineering, with honors from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a Trustee of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia. He and his wife Diane have two children.

Rex Parr, Secretary
Rex Parr is President/CEO of Didlake Inc. in Manassas. He has served as President of the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce; as Treasurer of the Coalition for Human Services; as President of the Voluntary Action Center; and as president of the Rotary Club of Manassas. He also has been active in other education and business organizations in the community. Mr. Parr joined the Board of Trustees of Prince William Health System in November 1999. He and his wife Gina have two children, Adam and Katherine.

Robert Riley, Treasurer
Robert Riley is Prince William Health System's Chief Financial Officer. He has 15 years of healthcare financial management experience, with 12 years at the senior management level with emphasis on financial and capital planning, fiscal operations, process and policy development. Riley came to Prince William from Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association and a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional. He received his bachelor's of science degree in accounting and his MBA in finance from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Randall Edwards
Dr. Randall Edwards recently retired as the Executive Vice President for George Mason University after 35 years of service in higher education in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Randall Edwards is currently providing consulting services to several clients in the local area. He is a native Virginian. His wife Anna has been a very successful Northern Virginia real estate broker for the past twenty years. They have a daughter, Suzan, two sons, Todd and Tomm, and six grandchildren, Steven, Katie, Sophia, Penelope, Quentin and Virginia. He enjoys golf and gardening.

Linda Daniel, MD
Linda Daniel, MD, was re-appointed to Prince William Health System's Board of Trustees in January 2002. Besides serving on the board, she served as president of the medical staff at Prince William Hospital from 1997 through 1998. A board certified radiologist, she has been a member of the hospital's medical staff for more than 30 years. Dr. Daniel attended medical school at the University of Nebraska, completed her internship at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln and her residency at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Daniel served as president of the Virginia chapter of the American College of Radiology for the 2001-2002 term. Additionally, she is a Fellow in the American College of Radiology. She and her husband Joseph have four children and nine grandchildren.

William Fairchild
William Fairchild is President of R. W. Murray Co., a commercial general contractor based in Manassas, Virginia. Mr. Fairchild is the current national chairman of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). He was previously the Region 5 Vice Chairman for ABC representing members and chapters in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. He also serves on the boards of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech, George Mason University-Prince William Campus, and the Virginia Gateway Community Development Authority. Mr. Fairchild and his wife Anita have two children and live in Prince William County.

William H. Gary
William H. Gary is Vice President of Workforce Development at Northern Virginia Community College, where he provides strategic leadership for the development and delivery of workforce training and development programs in Northern Virginia. Mr. Gary has 25 years of experience in providing strategic leadership in human resources and workforce development, legislative and government affairs and operations management. Prior to his position with Northern Virginia Community College, he was Vice President of Operations at NavCom Systems in Manassas, Director of Legislative Affairs at Computer Sciences Corporation, and Director, Personnel at Johnson & Johnson. He also serves on the Boards of the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board, the Virginia Economic Bridge, the Dulles Regional Chamber, the Chesapeake Company, and the Governor's Advisory Council on the Future of Nursing in Virginia. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Morehouse College and a master's degree in industrial relations from Rutgers University. He and his wife Patricia have three children.

John P. Grzejka
John P. Grzejka is Commissioner of Revenue for the City of Manassas. Mr. Grzejka is a past vice mayor and served on the Manassas City Council for 11 years. He has served as President of the Manassas Rotary Club; President of the Manassas Rotary Foundation; and as Commissioner representing Manassas on the Potomac Rappahannock Transportation Commission and the Virginia Railway Express. He is also very active in other community organizations. Mr. Grzejka is a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers, Virginia Association of Local Executive Constitutional Officers and the Commissioner of the Revenue Association of Virginia. He and his wife Erna have a son and two grandchildren.

JoAnne Gutliph, MD
JoAnne Gutliph, MD, is a gynecologist with Prince William OB/GYN Associates in Manassas. She is a past Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology at Prince William Hospital. Dr. Gutliph graduated summa cum laude from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY, and she attended Medical School at State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Gutliph is a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, Prince William County Medical Society, the Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Virginia, the American Medical Women's Association, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. She has served as Clinical Instructor for the Department of OB/GYN at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. She and her husband Robert W. Bohn have three children.

Michael Hoover
Michael Hoover is the President of TML Copiers A Xerox Company. Mike has been with TML for over 20 years and has been working in the office technology business for over 22 years. Mike is currently a member of the Kiwanis Club of Bull Run and is President Elect of the Battlefield HS Boys Lacrosse Boosters Club. He has also served in numerous leadership and community development roles in the past including: Chairman of the PWC-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce, Manassas Business Council Member, Konica-Minolta Dealer Advisory Council, President of the Kiwanis Club of Bull Run, PW Hospital Foundation Trustee, Chairman PW March of Dimes Walkathon, plus numerous committee chair roles with the Chamber of Commerce. Mike is a 1985 graduate of Virginia Tech and was recognized in 1985 as an "Outstanding Young Virginian" by the Virginia Jaycees. Mike and his wife Tammy reside in Gainesville, have six children, and are members of All Saints Catholic Church

Vikram "Vik" Khot, MD
Vik Khot, MD, is Medical Director of the Department of Behavioral Medicine at Prince William Hospital. He is past President of the Medical Staff. A board-certified psychiatrist, he attended Bangalore Medical College and completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Khot completed a fellowship in biological research psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health. He is currently an Associate Professor (Adjunct), Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at George Washington University. He also served as Senior Staff Fellow/Visiting Associate, Neuropsychiatry Branch, at NIMH from 1989-1990. Dr. Khot is also a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Woody Merchant
Woody Merchant is President of Battlefield Ford in Manassas. He is a lifelong resident of Manassas. Mr. Merchant is former Chairman of the Manassas Planning Commission and was an original organizer of the Manassas Rescue Squad. He is a member of the Manassas Fire Department and Buckhall United Methodist Church.

Joseph A. Zurlo, MD
Joseph A. Zurlo, MD, is an emergency medicine specialist. He is from upstate New York and has a bacheloršs of science degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a medical degree from Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse. He completed his internship and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. Dr. Zurlo trained in general surgery and practiced surgery in the Army. He is board certified in general surgery and emergency medicine and has been at Prince William Hospital for 20 years. He has served on numerous committees at the hospital, including treasurer and president-elect of the Medical Staff. Dr. Zurlo is currently serving as President of the Medical Staff and in that capacity is a spokesperson and representative for the Medical Staff at Prince William Hospital. He and his wife Shawn have been married 40 years.
